This article provides instructions on downloading the Outlook app, setting up your @supportuw.org email address in Outlook, and removing your email from the native mail app on your phone.
Downloading the Outlook App
Navigate to the app store on your WFAA iPhone. Search for Outlook.
When you find the app with this icon, made by Microsoft, select Get.
Once the download has completed, hit Open, then follow instructions below to add your @supportuw.org account.
Adding @supportuw.org Email to Outlook App
If it's your first time using Outlook for iOS, enter your @supportuw.org email address, then tap Add Account. Enter your password.
If not, open the Menu > tap Settings > Add Mail Account > Add Email Account.
Enter your email account password and tap Sign In.
If this is the first time you've set up your iOS device, you'll receive the following message:
Your device is temporarily blocked from synchronizing using Exchange ActiveSync until your administrator grants it access.
Our IT department has also received this notification and will approve your device within one business day. Please contact us if you do not begin receiving your mail after that time.
Syncing contacts from Outlook to the iPhone
Adding contacts to your phone will not sync with Outlook on your desktop, but contacts added in desktop Outlook will sync to your mobile device, if you have turned on the feature to save contacts.
To get to this location, navigate to Outlook App > Account (your picture in the top left corner) > Settings (gear icon) > tap your @suppportuw.org account. Scroll down until you find Save Contacts. Toggle the feature off if you would not like your Outlook contacts to be synced to your phone contacts.
Removing Your Email From Native Mail App
Navigate on your phone to Settings > Mail > Accounts
Tap your exchange (@supportuw.org) account. Tap Delete Account at the bottom.
